Countdown

Hello Everyone, and thank you for tuning into my Peru blog! It is officially only 2 weeks away from departure for orientation and I am really starting to switch my mindset into full preparation mode. This led to the idea of testing out an introductory blog post for just a brief update.

For those of you who are unaware of what this blog is all about let me explain! I have accepted a place in the Young Adult Volunteer Program for this upcoming year. The Young Adult Program is based in the Presbyterian church and deploys young adults all over the world for a year of service. I will be going to Huánuco Peru, where I will meet my host family and start my work at the Granja Lindero Ecologia. This blog is where you can find all the info about the trip, as well as reflections and picture from my experience!! With this being said, of course I will have more updates coming in the future.

Also very importantly, I am still in the process of raising 5000$ for my trip and would appreciate all the support I can get. In the meantime I am still very engaged here in Scottsdale, Arizona where I have spent my summer with my family. I also recently just got back from a 2 day camping trip in the Grand Canyon and am today very much working with the little energy I have remaining. Here’s a picture!
